    Key Requirements to obtain a visa for the Australia

    Academic

    • Diploma Courses :– Minimum 60% in grade 12 + minimum 5.5 in IELTS / minimum 55 in TOEFL internet / between 42-49 in PTE. The scores more than two years prior the year of course commencement aren’t considered valid.
    • Bachelor’s Program :– Minimum 65% in grade 12 + minimum 6.0 in IELTS / minimum 65 in TOEFL internet / between 50-57 in PTE.
    • Master’s Program :– A three years course or equivalent from a recognized university + minimum 6.5 in IELTS / minimum 79 in TOEFL internet / between 58 – 64 in PTE.

    Documentation

    The Australian student visa allows a student to study, live and work in Australia for a span of five years. A student is permitted to work 40 hours fortnightly and unlimited hours during semester breaks. List of basic documents required is as follows:

    Language Abilities ​

    Following are the entrance exams for checking English Language Proficiency. Obtaining a minimum required score in any one of them is mandatory to apply for any course:

    • IELTS :– International English Language Testing System (IELTS) tests English language skills by dividing it into four sections; reading, writing, listening and speaking. The test needs to be completed in the duration of 2 hrs and 45 min with a minimum score of 6-6.5.

    • TOEFL :– Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) takes place in two formats namely; internet based (minimum score required is 79) and paper based (Minimum score required is 550).

    • PTE :– Pearson Test of English (PTE) needs to be completed within three hours and a minimum score of 50 is required to get through

    • CAE :– The Cambridge English (Advanced) is a test recognized by universities all across Australia and is a three hour test where a minimum score of 180 is required to get through.
